Developing the Twin States

The Montgomery Institute's Bill Crawford told Meridian Rotarians monde that his organization and area educational institutions are working together to promote productive leadership in east Mississippi and west Alabama.

"We’ve put together something with our community college presidents, our senior institutions, MSU and UWA and area economic developers called the Committee on the Future of East Mississippi and West Alabama," said Crawford, "to bring educational and economic leaders together to determine what kind of regional issues there are that we could, should be working on."

The commission will hold its first annual public meeting at MSU Meridian in January.
