The Pentagon has reversed itself and decided to continue production of the C-130J aircraft.
That decision means 156 jobs at the Lockheed Martin plant in Meridian are not in jeopardy after all.
Cong. Chip Pickering calls it good news for the country, as well as the local workforce.
The aircraft, part of which is manufactured here, transports troops and supplies in the Middle East. It also delivered aid to tsunami victims.
