A local church is looking to help the needy with food, even after the holiday season.
Meridian's First Assembly of God Church is planning to provide meals for the needy, in conjunction with the feed the world program.
The church received its first shipment of food Wednesday. It plans to begin distributing that food at the beginning of the year.
