Mississippi-made Nissan vehicles made it to Middle East marketplaces
It was part of the 13,000 Canton-made products sent to other countries between January and December. That includes neighboring Canada and Mexico. That data also includes vehicles sent to Hawaii.
Of that figure, 1100 Armada sport utility vehicles and 231 units stamped with the low-volume Infiniti QX56 SUV badge headed to Middle Eastern countries. Two Quest minivans also were sold in Taiwan.
The total export amount is slight compared to Canton's capacity to build 400,000 products. But the number still underscores Mississippi's role in a global economy.
The figures also show a bevy of the products are staying in the U.S. as Nissan intended.
