Charges Filed in Clarke County Murder

The Clarke County Sheriff's Department has filed charges against Keith and Jo Ann Davis in the death of EMEPA employee, Nathan Baker.

Sheriff Todd Kemp says investigators were looking for Baker, who disappeared after handling a call Monday in the Carmichael community. Baker worked for East Mississippi Electric Power
Association.

Kemp says Baker's body was found Tuesday in nearby Wayne County. He says Baker had been shot.

Kemp says Keith Davis has been charged with capital murder and his wife, Jo Ann, has been charged with accessory after the fact of capital murder.

The Davises were taken into custody Tuesday after officials found that Baker was last known to be alive at their residence, where he had gone on duty to disconnect their power for non-payment.

Baker's body was found later about 4 miles south of Shubuta, on Waynesboro-Shubuta Road in Wayne County.

Kemp says the couple's 14-year-old son has been turned over to youth court authorities.
