A Meridian juvenile was shot once in the arm by a suspect who was trying to rob him. The incident happened Monday around 6:30 a.m. at 39th avenue and Davis Street.
Charges have not been filed. The juvenile is fine.
Meanwhile, police are also looking into four robberies over the weekend:
"In one of these robberies over the weekend, one of the clerk's fired off a couple of rounds at the suspect after the robbery," said Harper. "We're not advocating that clerks arm themselves but we have seen that in larger cities and gun battles ensued when someone tried to rob a store."
Harper said it appears that at least two of the robberies could be connected. Anyone with information is asked to call crimestoppers at 485-1860.
