Fire Damages Business

Meridian firefighters responded to a fire about 12:15 p.m. Monday afternoon at 515 46th Avenue.
The cause remains under investigation, according to Battalion Chief Howard Gibson.
The building's lower floor was an appliance repair shop. The upper floor is apartments.
Gibson described damage to the lower floor, where the fire apparently started, as heavy.
No one was injured.
