Major Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, says getting the word out, with names and photographs, enables law enforcement to target its resources elsewhere. He adds that people who respond to requests for information are community-minded and some don't even want the reward.
Calhoun says even tips that don't pan out immediately may pay off later as investigations continue.
