Authorities report a second suspect has pleaded not guilty to charges related to the abduction of a Forest attorney.

Forest Police Chief Mike Lee said Danawan Brown, 19, of Forest, was arrested without incident on Christmas Day at a relative's Rankin County residence.

Police say Brown and Adam Jones, 18, of Lena, are accused of kidnapping Constance Slaughter-Harvey outside her Forest law office and burning her car.

Jones turned himself in Dec. 22. Both suspects entered not guilty pleas kidnapping, carjacking, grand larceny and arson charges. They are being held without bond in the Scott County Detention Center.

Lee said the cases will be presented to a grand jury in January or February.
