Christopher Criddell, 38, of Pachuta has been charged with the rape of a woman who worked for him.
The alleged incident happened last Saturday at a residence on Hwy 80 in Lauderdale County.
Investigators are interviewing possible witnesses and preparing to send evidence to the crime lab.
The woman went to the hospital before filing a report with authorities.
Criddle's bond has been set at $50,000.
