Residents of Oxford and students at the University of Mississippi got a chance to view a piece of history this week.
One of only 25 surviving original copies of the U.S. Declaration of Independence was on display at University Museum on the Ole Miss campus.
"I know that our children and everybody in our community will be enriched by this document here. just as our nation has been enriched by this document," said one school representative.
The document will be on display at the state capitol in Jackson later this month.
