A curfew has been issued by the City of Meridian for all residents. The
mandatory curfew is from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. This curfew is being imposed to provided maximum safety for all residents.
No one should be out on the streets after 9 p.m. This curfew would also apply to non-residents of Meridian who work or are visiting.
Residents who are evacuating to one of the shelters need to take any
special needs items such as medicine with them. Personal belongings should also be taken, including blankets, if possible.
The Red Cross has notified us that it needs additional nursing staff,
volunteer workers and nonperishable food. Anyone who can help should call the Red Cross at 601-485-5151.
