Alabama Governor-Elect Bob Riley met for the first time Thursday with the members of his Bipartisan Transition Team. They're making plans for the hiring of those who will head the state's agencies.

Riley said his team will be diverse, credible and ready to handle the challenges the state faces. Riley says it is those people who will help him reform systems that aren't working.

"This is not a silver bullet proposal to answer all questions. It's a comprehensive way to change government and change it once and for all," said Riley. "Change the way government thinks, change the way government operates, try to make it more efficient, more cost effective and bring in a level of credibility that I think that's been lost."

The transition team was also briefed on the state's finances and given information on Alabama Ethics Laws Friday.
