Crane Accident

The accident happened Thursday morning at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and Saint Paul Street.

WTOK-TV has been told that the driver of the crane was preparing to put up a new sign at a former gas station when the vehicle overturned and split the pole.

In all about 100 residents power was interrupted because of the mishap. Mississippi Power officials worked throughout the afternoon to restore it.
