Physicians and staff at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center's heart catheterization lab got hands-on experience with new technology Friday.
A mobile simulation training unit, made available by Boston Scientific, made a stop in Meridian.
Different scenarios are presented and cardiology teams are able treat their patient with the latest procedures available.
"It's a way for us to take technology and apply it quickly to the people that we take care of here," said Dr. Wes Bennett, a cardiologist and director of the cath lab.
The unit includes a simulated operating facility, complete with a patient and patient history.
