Peavey Electronics has pledged 10 percent of revenues from PV® Series musical instrument and microphone cable sales to the Mississippi Red Cross for its Katrina relief operations.
The company says this accessory line includes more than 40 products; a complete list of qualifying products is available at www.peavey.com/redcross.
"As a Mississippi company, this tragedy is very near to all of our hearts," said founder and CEO Hartley Peavey. "Many of us have family and friends in the hardest-hit areas, and many in our own hometown sustained damages. Peavey was fortunate to rebound within a few days, and we want to help our fellow Mississippians get back on track. That's what will heal this state."
Peavey is based in Meridian, Miss., where Katrina caused damage as a category one hurricane. The company was unable to open for four days due to power outages and blocked roadways, but reported full output as of Sept. 2.
