Christmas Stories

Updated: Fri 6:18 PM, Dec 20, 2002

The Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library celebrates the Christmas season with a special story-telling session Saturday at 2:00 p.m. The children's favorite, The Polar Express, will be one of the featured stories.

Sarah Mutziger says she usually tells stories for an adult audience, but all ages are included in this.

"I think it stimulates our imagination. For me the storyteller when I tell a story I get taken on a journey and it's spellbinding. It casts a spell over me and it casts a spell over the audience," said Mutziger. "And it's a living art form."

The storytelling is Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the periodicals section of the library. It will last about an hour.
