Leadership Summit Planned

Gov. Ronnie Musgrove will be in Meridian next week, along with several other dignitaries, to discuss this area's economic future.

The Commission on the Future of East Mississippi and West Alabama will hold its first annual leadership summit Friday, Jan. 17, 8:30 a.m. till 2:30 p.m. At MSU Meridian.

The summit will be an opportunity to discuss where this region is economically and look for ways to improve.

Cong. Chip Pickering and University of Alabama President Dr. Malcolm Portera will attend.
