Plane Crash at Airport

A local pilot escaped injury Friday morning when his aircraft malfunctioned during landing.

The single engine Beechcraft "Bonanza" was only slightly damaged.

Airport president Tom Williams said the electronic control for the nose gear failed to function properly and the gear failed to lock when it was released manually.

Airport takeoffs and landings were not interrupted.
