A 31-year-old Kemper County man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the killing of a high school student.
Andian Derrel Rush had been indicted for murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Christopher Brown.
Rush pleaded guilty in Kemper County Circuit Court. He will be sentenced Dec. 19.
Brown was shot once in the head on Feb. 20, 2005, outside his home in the Kemper Springs community. He died the next day at a Meridian hospital.
