Dave and Dawn Wilson of Hickory, North Carolina, came to Meridian this weekend to help unload supplies in semi-trucks into the Frank Cochran Center. But that's not all.
"Just came down to donate some time. Brought down some water and we're eventually hoping to take a family back with us who have been misplaced," said Dave Wilson, who has adopted a family that had to evacuate its home due to Hurricane Katrina.
The Wilsons have seven children of their own, but only two live at home. They say they want to do whatever they can to help the victims of the hurricane.
The Wilsons also say there are other families from hickory, North Carolina, looking to take in displaced families.
