Kemper County's Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Business and Industry Luncheon Thursday.

The chamber presented awards to Business of the Year, Timberview Lodge, and Industry of the Year, Pharma-Pac Proderma.

The chamber's executive director, Juanice Evans, said it's important to recognize top members of the business community.

"We just take one time a year to do that. And other times of the year, we honor other people, different ways," said Evans. "But that's what a chamber does and that's a very enjoyable part of a chamber job."

The chamber also had a special award for the Kemper County Boys and Girls Club.
