Cole Declines Comment on Arrest

A Kemper County supervisor, currently under indictment, took his seat at the bi-weekly supervisors meeting Monday.

District 5 supervisor Chris Cole was indicted two weeks ago by a Kemper County grand jury, and charged with possession of stolen property.

Cole sat in during the meeting, but would not comment about his arrest and indictment.

A July 10 trial date has been set for Cole.
