Two rural associations in Lauderdale County have issued boil water notices.
Southwest Water Association's notice affects customers on Point Wanita Lake Road, from the intersection of Highway 80 and including Brown Cutoff Road.
A water leak had to be repaired. Customers are advised to boil their drinking water to kill possible bacteria, during the next 72-hour period.
Russell Utilities has also issued a precautionary boil water advisory, because the system lost pressure due to an electrical problem.
Users are to be notified when tests reveal that boiling is no longer necessary.
