Inmate Dies in Clarke County

let me tell you what i know about the whole situtation.i knew mr mcgowan personaly,todd kemp binky david snowden ,killed mr mcgowan.with a taser to the head.a little over a week before he was killed .someone told him to be careful.because david snowden and todd kemp did not like,mr mcgowan having a relationship with a white woman.
Robin: It sounds like your mad at the WORLD. U need to focus on the McGowan family at this time and if your a family member then that's what u will b doing. My prayers go out to u and your family.
May God comfort the McGowan family in their loss. Prayers are being said for them.
Thank you Johnny, very well said. CCSO does a good job, Todd does a good job. If the citizens of Clarke County were so unhappy with his job performance they had ample opportunity to elect a new sheriff back in November, but that obviously isn't the case considering Todd Kemp won by an overwhelming margin. It seems to me the only people who have a problem with the CCSO are the people who are frequent "guests" at the Clarke County Jail. While my prayers are with Mr. McGowan's family, the fact is the young man had a drug problem. He is an unfortunate victim to drugs, not the CCSO.

its time we as a people get our heads out of the sand and help get some of these people off drugs, and quit placing blame on on the law when someone gets into trouble with the law, they want to make some kind of excuse and its allways someone elses fault. dr haynes report will speak for itself in ref to mr mcgowan but by the way things seem to me it was apparent that mr mcgowans father knew he had problems, or he wouldnt have contacted law enforcment to help get him off the street .lets continue to pray for the all involved and quit placing blame on the law and clean up around your door step before you make quick judgement.

People should realize that blacks in Clarke Counry are more prejudice than the wites here. I have seen white people try to be friendly to black people and the black folks turn up their nose and be completly hateful and nasty. The only way to make this community better is to try to get past trying to play the race card every time something happens to one of our own. Yes, and I am BLACK!
Law enforcement in any County is Not GOING to PLEASE EVERYONE , that's just like an Attorney, there is 2 sides to every story. But frankly I'm sick and tired of hearing people talk bad about law enforcement , people need to walk in their shoes and try to please everyone. This article is NOT about law enforcement it's about a family losing a love one and that's what should b the focus right now. Let Dr Haines do his job and then POINT FINGERS. Yes there are many rumors going around, I've heard at least three different ones myself. I know the law here doesn't do right but why don't you wait for the autopsy results before pointing fingers. And no he was not beated and bruised.
This goes out to the comment made by Robyn: First of all let's wait on the report from Dr. Haines before we point out fingers to the Sheriff . This world is in bad enough shape without people like u trying to tear people down when U don't know what your TALKING about . Let's just pray for the McGowan family and stop talking about something that u know nothing about.
Clarke County has been hurt so many times, and rumors fly around like birds. We should wait for facts before we continue these rumors. No one knows what happened to Mr. McGowan, on Monday and we should wait until the autopsy comes in before we make assumptions. Patience is a virtue and we should not slander our sheriff’s dept. until we have all the facts! My prayers go out to the family of the victim as well as the sheriff’s dept. May justices prevail in the end!

Clarke County police are very dirty.They know what they have been doing to people for so long and they don't even take the time out to think about that there's A GOD ABOVE.And he know what yall doing and he even know what you thinking when you think it.We as Clarke County residents need to clean up this county when Election time come again.We need better people to make good advice.And don't get me wrong if you you have done the crime you need to do the time ,that even goes for my children or myself.But NO ONE should be treated like a dog because EVERY state have there way of punishing some for what ever they have been charge with BUT THEY GO BY THE LAW BOOK NOT BY THERE OWN RULE and that is what Clarke County does,everybody on the force make rules,that's not what it suppose to be like.If they get a few cases were people start sueing, you you'll start going by the law.My heart goes out to the MC GOWAN family and any other family that had to go though a hard time like this hang on.LOVE
If people would mine there own business in clarke county life would be much easier.Every time something happen with clarke county police some people hate the fact that an officer could have been wrong in a situation We ALL know that alot of our officers are prejudice here in clarke county and we all know this, as a residents here.It's ashame that you can't live in CLARKE COUNTY with a smile because you don't know if your life will end in seconds.I really believe they KILLED MR.Mc Gowan if they cared about what was wrong with him there would have been a officer a the Er when this happen. Why did it take them so long to contact a family member to let them know what's going on if Todd know the family so well ,that don't mean nothing to me,people know people ,everyday but that don't mean they would't hurt them.we had officers here to use racial slurs and still be on the force so what is this telling the communtiy about our SHERIFF here no matter what color you are every one should be alike
