Charity Hit by Burglars

A Meridian charity store was burglarized in the early hours Wednesday. A window was smashed to gain entry to Victory Bargain Center on
8th Street at 40th Avenue.

Burglars stole all the money from the cash register. None of the
merchandise was taken.

The store's manager said the thieves didn't have to break in if they
really needed help.

"We would've given them the money if they really needed it," said the Rev. John Sweeney of Victory Outreach, "because that's what we do.
Help burnout victims and others who need it, as part of our outreach ministries."
