The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians is adding a Hard Rock Hotel and Beach Club to its Pearl River Resort.
The licensing agreement with Hard Rock Cafe International of Orlando, Florida, allows the tribe to build and operate the 300-room hotel.
The beach club will be a joint project with Hard Rock, which will also operate the club.
Amenities at the club include heated pools, restaurant and dance areas and several live-performance stages. It's scheduled to open this summer at the resort's nine-acre beach.
The deal brings the first Hard Rock Cafe, which has locations in London, Paris, and other international cities, to the state of Mississippi.
The Hard Rock Hotel, scheduled to open by 2006, will be the third hotel for the resort.
The property already has the Golden Moon Hotel and Casino and Silver Star Hotel and Casino.
