Riding the "E-Bus" to Learning

The Pearson Digital Learning ''E'' Bus stopped Thursday at Oakland Heights Elementary in Meridian. The E-bus a mobile demonstration lab, equipped with 12 computer stations.

Thursday the E-bus made a stop at the school where several teachers use the classroom version of the program.

"The Waterford program is so effective because it provides students with individualized instruction in their reading skills," said Pearson representative Jennifer Rojas. "So, they're practicing skills like rhyming, alliteration, and the fact that we read from left to right and top to bottom."

"I can tell a difference already and the kids love it," said pre-K teacher, Beth Phillips. "If they don't get to do it, they miss it."

The technology aboard the E-bus represents a new generation of technology that is considered essential for today's teacher and learner.
