Martin Says Go Knockin'

Harry Martin, Mississippi's foremost economic developer, brought Tupelo over 55,000 jobs during the last 40 years.

The first segment of a two-part interview aired June 16. The second will be telecast June 23.

On WTOK, Martin, now retired, will disclose the simple yet effective secrets of his success.

"You do some analysis on who is logical," said Martin. "What companies are logical to be in your area from a transportation standpoint or from a raw materials standpoint? You know, those kind of things and it's critical analysis on doing that and then you go knock on the door and ask them."
