A Lauderdale County family lost everything in a fire Thursday morning.
The Sally Huggins family lived on Shiloh-Vimville Road. Her eight children go to Southeast Attendance Center. All were at school and no one was home at the time.
Lauderdale County fire coordinator Clarence Butler said units were called at 7:30 a.m. the house was a total loss. Butler said it appeared the fire started in a back bedroom, but the cause is not yet determined.
A benefit fund has been set up for the Sally Huggins family at Meridian branches of Citizens National Bank. The family had no insurance.
