I know that everyone wish that this situation was just a bad dream, but it isn't. This is not the time to talk down on these young men this is the time to pray! True enough what they have done wasnt right! But we all have done terrible things in our life and just havent been caught! You dont know what provoke these two men to do what they have done u can believe that they are paying for it. Yes it is sad that it happen. But its nothing that know one can do about but give it to God. And to Mark and Bow leg I hope yal believe in God cause if not this is a time to get to know. Keep ur head up and cont. to have faith.

1st time offender gets a 2 million dollar bond?Are u serious?This is another issue of racism!I feel like Mark mad a horrible mistake but who hasnt. Last i checked,no one is perfect.Yes he has made many mistakes in the past but that doesnt give anybody the rite to judge him[T roy]!If it had been a white man i wonder if he would have the same bond. I dont remember readin that he shot or killed anybody HOWEVER i kno that they gave back all the money.So once again im askin is it really neccessary to have such a high bond?"some people" just dont want Mark or Fred to see their fam members again!Kemper County is a racist county and everyone knows it!Mi prayers go out to family & friends of both of the two men involved.Lets stay strong and let God handle this.As to u T roy if u dont want 2 show your sympathy then dont leave comments.Its sad 2 see a black man agree with such hatred and insanity.If it was someone in your family would you still be sayin the same thing?I LOVE U MARK.STAY STRONG!

i personally blame this on the former incident that occured at school when i met mark he was a decent wholesome young man with ambition and goals he seemed to be on the right track after he was hit by the tree and almost lost his life he came back a changed individual its like he was not even the same person. My heart and my prayers go out to his family and i sincerely hate to see things turn out this way for him but all he can do now is leave it in GODs hand and hope that the court and jurors see a young man that made a bad decision but still deserves a chance to be reformed. plead insanity tell them they gave you bad blood at the hospital tell them you had a brain transplant and the hospital gave you the brain of a robber!

I hate it that such a high bond has been set for my baby and fred, I want all out their ready to get on your computer and do some research and tell me, how many people you find in the history of criminal acts, has had a bond of 2 million dollars, you tell me how many you find and what their crime was. I think that the amount needed to get my baby's freedom back is so unfair, YES! UNFAIR! All this amount does is reassure the families of the suspect the realization of how the system doesn't want them to ever see their family members again,Really!! I really hope that all that have or had negative thing to say, now see that yes the tellers did experience a terrible terrible tragic event, the suspects will suffer much much longer than they can ever dream of! So please to all pray for these two young men, pray for the families and friends! To fred family i pray for you. To courtney, you are my sister now more than ever, for we struggle for the same thing, stay strong boo, we gon get thru this

first i would like to thank everyone for their prayers for mb his fam and the bank tellers we all know that this was something that we did not want to happen as a concerned aunt i know mark was brought up in a praying family so we know god is in charge so just keep praying for him and please pray for his mom,dad, and family

Well um happy to say my baby and mark are doin fine. They both called me and tonya last night,his mom called me also. I just wanna say i can't believe all the lies and things people or a person is sayin about them, this ain't even the time for you'll to be havin us get upset more than we already are about the situation, we don't need any negativity all we need is your prayers, love and support so please stop with the bs and stupid comments. I'm still maintainin and holdin strong, not only for my baby but mark as well because he was my boy too. I just want fc to know i really miss and love him and i pray for them every night and just wait on a phone call from him,tonya,or his mama. To everyone who cares,i ask that u keep them in your prayers and hope and pray that they will be alright no matter what.

in life. GOD please bless these two young men in their struggles, the bank tellers, and the families, and friends affected. Let's all just please stop the judgments and start praying for these two. I am so sorry for the bank tellers at the Kemper Co bank and this scary experience you faced Monday morning. My heart goes out to you. My heart also goes out to Mark Butler's and Fred Campbell's family and friends. I don't know Fred, but I know Mark Butler very well because I went to high school with him and was his friend. Anybody that knows him, knows that Mark is one of the sweetest ppl you can come across in life. He is willing to help anybody he can in any way. And that's why this is so hard to believe. I am not justifying this terrible act he committed because armed robbery is not justifiable, but I do know there was a drastic change in Mark after the Hurr. Katrina incident. If you (T Roy) knew that Mark was heading in the wrong path, you shouldve been a real friend and helped him thru his struggles. None of us know the struggles these two were going thru to resort to this but those two. We do know these are genuinely sweet people, who like everyone else made a bad mistake/choice

honestly we all should jus leave the negativity alone t roy i respect what u are sayin but the accident that happened to him was tragic & u werent there for the aftermath in the hospital or during recovery! I think we should have more respect for his parents during this serious time & not make assumptions.Real friends need to be behind 100% not downgrade him for his mistakes, at the end of the day i love him like a brother & whatever bad choices he has ever made i kno personally he will be forgiven!Remeber Mark & Frederick man's extremities are GOd's opportunities.

To all those who are concerned about Mark, n Fred, I just got off the phone with them, they are doing fine, considering the situation. They have just now after all this time made it back to MS. They will go before the judge to get bail set, in the morning. I told them to keep their heads up, and reassured them in a time like this, that they still have people out here who care about them, and pray for them daily. They pretty much already know they have haters( T roy), but they are making it. I myself just ask that all keep praying for them!!!!!!!!!!!

For him to be goin to get drugs when he was hit by the tree he had to be scorin from the cafe workers cuz dats where he was headed and if u knew him as well as u claim u would know that! Also he was not on drugs! He was about to start workin a really good job, that has mandatory drug test before you start anything! First and foremost my heart goes out to the families of both young men. I really honestly feel like there is no excuse for what happened period.. There were people in this bank and those people could have been someone's mother or father and they were put in danger THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR ROBBING ANYBODY GET OUT AND WORK LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!!

T roy, who ever you are, you are a compulsive liar, for one tell me how was he on the way to get drugd durin hurricane catrina, huh, wut he was doing was on the way to the cafe to eat, alone wit my first cousin, and three more of his loyal good friends, who helped picked the tree up off him, so tell me how he was on the way to get some, and who by the way durin hurrican catrina would be waitin on him to come, so wut jus forget its winds outside 100 miles an hour, huh!!!!!!!!!! you are a liar, and you will get wuts comin to you. t roy...i dont think mark was on drugs..and if he was thats his business..we all have done things in our past and maybe even still do somethings..for u to judge mark in such a way...i seriously doubt u are his homeboy..instead of judging him and putting his business out maybe u should be praying for him instead..EVERYBODY makes MISTAKES POINT BLANK..i have been on the other end and i know the feeling of somebody going to jail and i wouldnt want anybody to feel the pain me and my family felt and went thru..so agian instead of judging him pray for him!!

I think i have time on many of the pple who have left comments b/c i have known mark since i was like 5 and his family. We all can sit her making negative commments & assume wat was goin on their lives. But instead of the negativity lets pray his situation works out. I sat in shreveport after his tree accident & if prayer can change that situation any situation can. Mark is my brother yes it was wrong wat he did but at the same time my heart cries out b/c we all have done things in life in the end GOD has the final word, no matter wat happens he's strong & will get thru this. My love & prayer goes out to his family,girlfriend, and other pple who are prayer warriors!

mark started off as a good kid but i personally think the swat done it to him..when we used to hang in school mark was nothing like this..he got mixed up with the wrong ppl..did u know when the tree hit him he was on his way to get drugs..so the tree incident is not an excuse for this..and he did flunk out..his parents washed there hands with him..mark got on drugs bad..only somebody who is on drugs bad would wanna rob a bank..my prayers are with him and his family...and i understand only God can judge but lets stop makin excuses for him..mark has been headed down hill for a while and i did tell and help him but he didnt want my help..he even started to look bad p.s. i know this for fact everything that is mention...he was/is my homeboy so dont try and tell me i dont know him

Its a crime to rob a bank......bottom line...everyone has choices, they made their choice to rob a bank now they must face the consequences. Don't care how great a person they were/are. Hopefully they will learn from this.

I feel for both Fred and Mark, I didnt know Mark too well but I did know Fred. I dont know what type of struggles they were dealing with but it had to be hard...I just feel sorry that the girlfriends,the family and Fred & Mark have to deal the unjust judicial system we have...

Okay after reading some of these comments its clear to me that the world is full of ignorant judmental people,thats really a shame. I lived in da same house with mark for like the last three four months so i think its safe for me to say i knew him fairly well. Nik and Mark are two of the nicest ppl i know so for ppl to say crucial stuff like they are bad ppl or evil really hurts.Mark has done so many little things that helped me out in the short time we've known each other that its impossible for me to say I aint gonna have his back and be on hea everyday checkin out comments correcting any wrong info. Dont Judge has been written more than once so i dont have to add that just take heed that you never know the next persons state of mind. I love MB like a brother and i just wanna let him know that me and his girl gonna be hea! An another thing, i tell you the truth who ever all these people is postin they unwanted opinions, You don't know them, you don't know them better than me, or Courtney. Yall wasn't around when they wasn't in trouble, now that this has happened you think you have the right to say wutever you feel. For your info mark accident with the tree during the storm has severly hurt him, he has not been the same since that happened, and yeah he did come back and play ball when he recovered, but wut you don't know is that, that was mostly for eveybody that was on his case bout playin ball. He wasn't physically able to continue playing, which is why he didn't. Him droppin out of school has nothing to do with this incident. School is not for everyone. So wut ever to yo you could see the changes comment, with a name like deathrow, you need to check yoself. How bout this, Why don't everyone stop sinnin by passin judgement, and show some sympathy and support to the familes who have to deal with this.

To those who are wondering, no MB is not a bad person, he is not an evil person. What he is, is the sweetest man i have ever meet in my entire life. A sweet person that made a terrible mistake. I have been in a committed relationship with this man for almost two years, and like any couple, yes we have had our ups and downs, but you best believe that the good days more than out weigh bad. To those out there waitin and ready to pass judgement, know this, just because you claimed to have seen MB the other week, or know of him, dosen't give you the right to say you knew him.I have woke up to him everyday for the past year and a half, and nothing could have prepared me for anything like this. So if you don't know where a person is in their life,or where they are in their head, then how can you pass honest judgemet. All i have to say is that i love him dearly, and miss him truly,and if they go away, not only their lives will be ruined. In gods eyes no sin is greater than the other!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what they did was wrong, but on appreciate people trying to judge them and don't even know them or wut was goin on in their lives.People already are lookin at me in sayin things cuz i was his girl,but i really don't care what nobody has to say cuz um still gone be there for him and stay strong cuz i know he would do the same. People keep asking me, why and what he did it for, me um thinkin why would you even ask that dumb question like i can read minds or sumthin.I mean this situation has really did somethin to me, um really goin through it right now, i mean i had just left from up there the day before it happened,i wish then that i never left, but now all i can do now is pray in leave it in GOD'S hand cuz that's the only one these matters can be left in the hands of.Even though i stay in touch with his mom, my prayers still go out to her because she's hurt as well and nooone can possibly imagine the pain she's goin through.I just ask to please don't JUDGE THEM,ONLY GOD CAN!

Also the tree incident didn't end MArk Butler career. He came back and played the next year. Him flunking out of school endedhis career. That doesn't surprise me Mark did this you could see him changing.

It seems to me like everybody is going to say that they knew them well. I think that I know these guys better than anybody that left a comment. Yes, I was a former teammate, and I will always be a friend. I won't pass a judgement like other people. This just goes to show that anything can push a person to do things that they have never done before. Some people judging them might not know that Mark nearly lost his life in Aug of 2005. If you do the math right, you'll see it was during Hurricane Katrina. He was struck in the head by a tree branch that fell from 20feet in the air, which weighed over 200#. This incident ended his football career. So that eliminates the NFL. Ever been hit in the head that hard? I think that eliminates school. FC was going through some rough times as well. His storms weren't physical, but they were mental. I talked to him during his storms, so instead of asking them WHY, you should have offered them a suggestion before the incident. SO STOP JUDGING THEM

I knew one of the suspects but I never thought that they would go down that road, Man its sad because they had a good future and everythang but now its all down the drain man. Now all I can do is pray that the judge will have mercy.

I cant believe these guys would do something like this either i knew both of them also theu where very cool and laid back and i just cant believe they would do something like this i thought we was going to Alcorn to try to make some money in the future not rob a bank. They both played very well in football and possibly could have went to da NFL. I just don't understand i know both of there girlsfriends are really crying these studnets should have known better im very upset about this and dont think neither one of them was hurting that bad to rob a bank. As a matter of fact i just had seen MB las week he didnt mention anything about robbing a bank this is very sad but if u do the crime u have to do the time but i hope that da judges will have mercy on them because they are going to need it. I have known Mark(Fat)all of his life. To the person that says that his family has washed their hands of him is simply not true but they put him in the hands of God who will take better care of him than they ever could. Especially now! They are God-fearing people that brought their children to church and not send them like some parents do. I love you and I'm praying for you and your family. Keep the FAITH!
i once knew mark butler he was a great friend of mine. i lost contact with mark when we graduated high school. as a firm believer in islam i ask that Allah give mark strength of mind and body. i also would like to see mark get help because this is not the mard butler that i knew and grew up with. may Allah bless and keep us all. aslaamualaikum
