Suspect Charged in Stabbing

Meridian police have charged a suspect in connection with a Monday night stabbing incident.

Detective Dean Harper said Daphne Louise Moore, 32, of Meridian is charged with manslaughter in the death of Lynn Baskin.

"The police department responded to the 500 block of 45th Avenue on a call of a man who had been stabbed," said Harper. "Mr. Baskin was transported to an area hospital where he died from his stab wound. Within 12 hours the police department had arrested a suspect."

A weapon was recovered near the scene but Harper declined to describe it.

Moore's bond for the manslaughter charge was set at $20,000.
