Peavey Electronics is reducing its worldwide work force by 79 people. Layoff were announced Friday.
A spokesman for Peavey said the reason is consolidation of factories, general market conditions and other factors.
The electronics manufacturer also plans to move its Leakesville guitar factory to Meridian April 1.
