Johnson Named Third Runner-Up in Miss Mississippi Pageant

Vicksburg, Mississippi The new Miss Mississippi is a student of osteopathic medicine from Fulton. It was 23-year-old Chelsea Rick's fifth Miss Mississippi pageant.

Rick tells The Vicksburg Post that she wanted the title before she wanted to be a doctor.

She competed as Miss Amory Railroad Festival and was crowned Saturday night at the Vicksburg Convention Center.

The first runner-up among 34 other contestants was Miss University of Southern Mississippi Hannah Roberts; second was Miss West Central Mississippi Laura Lee Lewis; third was Miss Leaf River Valley Jordin Johnson; and fourth was Miss University Caroline Conerly.

Also in the top 10 were Miss Mississippi State Jasmine Murray, Miss Heartland Breanne Ponder, Miss Southern Heartland Jessica Terrill, Miss North Central Mississippi Adrian Turner and Miss Historic South Shelby Corn.
