Hall Seeks Reelection

Central District Transportation Commissioner Dick Hall visited Meridian Wednesday to announce he will seek re-election. In the process, Hall said upgrades for area roads are on the horizon.

"The first one that comes to mind is Highway 19 from Meridian to Philadelphia," Hall said. "That will be our number one priority under the Vision 21 program. That doesn't mean we're going to start tomorrow because the agreement with the legislature was we're going to complete the '87 program first.

Also on the list is the is the four-laning of Highway 15 from Newton to Philadelphia and the refurbishing of Interstate 20/59 through Meridian.
