Investigations into the causes of three recent fatal fires in Clarke County have been completed.
Officials say it is very unusual to have that many fires causing death in only a month's time.
A fire Aug. 14 on County Road 620 and another Sept. 6 on County Road 625 were ruled accidental. One that happened Aug. 28 on County Road 687 was undetermined.
But fire coordinator, Eddie Ivy, says the investigations revealed nothing suspicious.
"All three have been ruled no foul play. No problem there. Just one of those coincidences that just happened to occur within 30 days of each other," said Ivy.
The Aug. 14 fire was found to have started in the kitchen. Officials did not have enough evidence to determine the cause of the Aug. 28 fire in Matherville. And Ivy says a candle came in contact with flammable material to start the fire Sept. 6.
