Drug Arrests

Three drug arrests have been made in Kemper County. All were taken into custody Friday during a routine traffic stop on Doug Smith Road near the Neshoba County line. Investigators say methamphetamine was found inside the suspects' vehicle.

"There's a lot of moving parts in Kemper right now and we try to be as visible as we possibly can," says Sheriff James Moore. "We knew that we had some problems going on up there, and it was the good work of the patrol deputies who were able to work this case and get this stuff off the streets."

The three arrested are: 39-year-old Chad Spurline, 30-year-old James Conner, and 35-year-old Pam Pilgrim. All are charged with possession of methamphetamine. As of Monday morning bond for the three had not been set. Because the investigation is ongoing, at this time deputies are not releasing any further information on the case.
