Knox Seeks Public Office

A third candidate has qualified to run for justice court judge in Lauderdale County.

Beverly Knox filed her papers as an independent in district four Wednesday.

Knox is currently the coordinator of the Keep America Beautiful Commission of Meridian- Lauderdale County.

"The words impartiality, fairness, and sound reasoning define justice," said Knox. "They also define Beverly Knox. I look forward to serving the public as justice court judge of District 4 in Lauderdale County."

Knox will appear on the Nov. 4 general election ballot.

Incumbent Justice Court Judge Gerald Wayne Thompson is also an independent and is running for reelection.

Hubert L. Childs is also in the race as a democrat.
