EMDTF Arrests Three in Drug Sting

Toomsuba, Miss. The East Mississippi Drug Task Force arrested three suspects in a drug sting operation Wednesday afternoon. It happened in the 3500 block of Highway 11/80 in Toomsuba.

Officials say one suspect attempted to escape in a vehicle and later wrecked at Will Garrett Road.

34-year old Jeremy Keith Lovell is charged with fleeing and eluding in a motor vehicle.

Lovell and two other suspects, Jeremy K. Holcombe, 33, and 26-year-old Ashley P. Pearce, are all charged with conspiracy to sell crystal methamphetamine, possession of crystal methamphetamine over an ounce with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession of Xanax with intent to sell.

A judge set bonds for the suspects, but Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun says each has a charge for which they are not eligible for bond, so all three will remain at the Lauderdale County Detention Facility.
