Mississippi Department of Transportation officers detected a false compartment in an 18-wheeler Thursday on Interstate-20 near Meridian.
It contained about 1,000 pounds of marijuana. The driver and co-driver, both from Texas, were arrested and are jailed in Meridian.
The truck was stopped during a routine traffic check.
