Jackson, Miss. A Waynesboro man is heading to prison for conspiring to defraud the Federal Emergency Management Agency, also known as FEMA, after Hurricane Katrina. Aubrey Brent Sturdivant was found guilty of trying to defraud the agency during debris removal after the massive 2005 storm. For the crime he was sentenced to 41 months in prison and fined $10,000. The 28-year-old was charged as the result of a lengthy investigation by the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and the Mississippi State Auditor's Office.
