Philadelphia, Miss. A Neshoba County murder trial started and ended Monday, when the defendant decided to plead guilty.
Daniel Williamson was originally charged with murder and arson in the death of his girlfriend, Terri Gwyn.
In an agreement reached after the trial started, Williamson pleaded guilty to manslaughter and arson. He was sentenced to 20 years on each count, with the prison terms to run consecutively, for a total of 40 years.
