Calhoun, Crimestoppers Best in State

Lauderdale County Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun and the Crimestoppers program are top in the State.

Calhoun was honored as the "Law Enforcement Coordinator of the Year" at the State Crimestoppers Conference in Biloxi on Friday. The East Mississippi Crimestoppers Program was awarded the State's "Best New Program."

The local Crimestoppers program was recently expanded to include Clarke, Jasper, Newton, Neshoba and Kemper Counties as well as Lauderdale.
