All the girls in the pageant this year did a really great job, but I do have to admit Tia stood out more than anybody. She worked hard to get what she wanted, and I honestly believe she deserved it. What you see in Tia is what you get! She is as sweet as can be and will be a great representative for the tribe. Kudos to Brittany and Tamela on their accomplishments as well!
Why??? why is all this drama going on about this??? she won fair and square people!!! She was the best fit to take the crown this year!!! All the other contestants were not put through the training she had to go through..so..go figure!!! They werent put through the public speaking..with speeches.. and all the other training..so everybody just chill on the drama!!! Have you ever thought that she stayed in the same hotel with the reigning princess and the judges because THATS THE ONLY HOTEL ON THE REZ!!! Yeah lets just go put a princess contestant in a hotel outside the tribe on the night before the pageant..well yeah thats a bright idea. People..you need to think about things before you have any input on something.. get the facts straight then figure out what you want to do or say..in this case..you shouldnt be saying anything at all..just be happy for Tia..i know i am..why cant you all do the same thing..God Bless You Tia and remember..If Something Happens..Its Happens For A Reason!!!
To Tia, I pray that she always has the heart to forgive foolishness like this, the wisdom to overlook other's jealousy, hate, and ignorance, and the knowledge to to know that not everyone is this pety. She is a wonderful young lady, who anyone with half a mind frame could not help but to like if they took even a minute to get to know. I will have to say I'm very happy she won, because I don't think there was anyone better for the role, and to Tia whenever you feel like things like this may get the best of you remember * God Bless * Smile Always
I don't see why anyone should have any reason to be so hateful to Tia. I am so sorry that all contestants could not be crowned princess but thats how it is. Why should there be hypocritical individuals that does not have the ability to acheive outstanding opportunities as well as Tia that chose to criticize her. And let's don't put God in this I'm sure he didn't bless anyone to be so hateful. And as far as the pageant being rigged. "PLEASE"! Look at the beautiful PRINCESS she can win it the second or third round if there was one. And this has nothing to do with Kristen or the stepmom she deserved it and she got it. And lets dont be so anonymous and be grown up about it because tomorrow morning when we wake up TIA ANDERSON IS STILL CHOCTAW INDIAN PRINCESS!!! And just to let you know why she wasnt surprised when she was announced princess, she's always been Princess to me, her mom her dad her grandparents and all her aunts and her uncles. I know because I am her aunt.
I don't know Tia or the judges. And I don't know the criteria for the contestants. But I can see that Tia is an extraordinarily beautiful young lady. The other contestants are pretty as well. I don't understand the vitriol I see here. As long as there have been pageants and homecoming queens, there have been people, even deserving people, who did not win. Everyone can't win. They and their families have to accept. In order to have winner, there will be someone who loses.
As far Kristen, Why are you attacking her?? you don't even know her or her family and to be saying something like that is completely uncalled for and very disturbing! Kristen did not support any ONE contestant. She had several other Friends in the pageant also. As far as her sister, she had as much control of the results as you or I did! Neither Kristen or anyone in her family would take it to the extreme and rig this pageant. and if she voted for Tia for homecoming queen then what is it to you? Tia is not only her cousin, but she is also her friend. You may think you know the truth but you are the one bearing false witness. You may say that Kristen was raised wrong, but I don't see her talking bad about someone publicly over the internet. Now who is the one raised wrong? Quit criticizing innocent people and you will reap what you sow one day. That's in the bible to.
I believe that the only thing that is rigged is the fact that all the "sore losers" went and complained until they got their way and put out the pageant committee members. they feel as if they have that small amount of power on the Reservation but put them off the Reservation and they can't do squat. I promise you if you put Tia Anderson in a pageant in a completely different state where she doesn't know anyone, she will either win or place top 3! Some girls and their families want the Title only for the fame. Tia is very humble about it and she is truly blessed. Talking about Tia isn't going to solve anything. Tia is doing a great job thus far and No One is going to take that away from her. You can talk about her all you want but she was been placed by God for such a time as this. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to keep it to themselves. As far as her family, They do not deserve all these false accusations. They are all sweet people and support Tia with Love and truth.
Kristen, you voted for Tia for the Homecoming Queen because she's your cousin (by marriage). Sorry girl, I don't have any children so I won't be concerned about who wins. It's the matter of having ethical standards that should have been applied but apparently, some committee members didn't have that knowledge of or were just being ignorant. Evidence bares the truth about this particular situation, so quit being so offensive of what is the truth and learn what God teaches you. Dear child, you were raised in the wrong type of environment and I do hope that you will find God in your heart as you have stated that you do. In the bible, it states "not to bear false witness." So, learn the ways of God's teaching, not just reading one verse to serve your purpose, but read throughout the entire Bible and learn to live by it.
If it wasn't fixed, then why were the Pageant Committee members asked to step down? Apparently, there were a great amount of evidence which lead up to this. You're right, all of the girls were beautiful. God looks at the heart and soul of the individual. Maybe one day Tia will understand and learn about God's ways. All of Tia's actions leading up to the Pageant were not God given talent, there were too much corruption and the ones who corrupted this year's Pageant were booted out. Again, there were evidence that were presented which lead this corruption to be true. No one girl is jealous and no one family member is jealous of Tia, it's just the manner in which the Pageant members played out this scandal and we all know the individuals who were behind it.
For the ones who are saying the pageant is fixed: In a couple of years your daughter,sister,neice,and/or cousin will run and maybe even win,how are you going to feel when and if someone says the only reason she won is because it was fixed and you know it was because of the grace of god and because she worked hard? All of the girls worked really hard ,They all looked beautiful and they all are winners in the eyes of the lord.Tia has done a great job representing the MBCI,she is a blessing and is a sweetheart!!! of course her family wanted her to win wouldnt you want your family member to win? But that doesnt mean they were involved or even fixed the pageant. all her family did was support her and i'm sure they always will in all she does.As far as the homecoming Queen... I voted for her!!! Keep being strong Tia.We love you and wish nothing but the best for you!!!
There are many girls that would love to be crowned this distinguished title of being the Choctaw Indian Princess, Yet there are only a few that actually are of exceptional quality to obtain it. Tia Anderson Is one of those girls of exceptional quality. No doubt that she has the beauty, talent, and personality for it. People tend to judge her just because of who she is and not for what she's done. I know her personally and she would not ever cheat to win. Some may say that it is not all just luck but I believe that those people are all just sore losers and always come in second. There are multiple girls in this years pageant that have ran previously multiple times and some even up to 3 times, yet they seem to not be able to win the pageant once! It is those girls who are jealous of Tia because they dont have natural God Given ability as she does. I believe we should applaud The princess as she has handled all this criticism with great maturity and poise. She truly has earned it.
Why would Miss Anderson not be groomed as the next Choctaw Princess? Her step-mother is Tribal Council Representative Phyllis John Anderson who wanted Miss Anderson to get the title. Secondly, Miss Anderson's first cousin (by marriage) was the previous title holder, Kristen Tubby. Further, her other cousin Charisity Dixon(by marriage) was on the Pageant Committee which greatly influenced alot of the decisions leading up to the Pageant. The previous Princess and the current Princess shared the same hotel as the Judges, so, what else can anyone say? The fact that the 2008 Pageant was preplanned. There were several more well qualified contestants out there who were shunned by their own tribe's negligence in assurance of sponsoring an unbiased Pageant. Did you see a moment of tears & surprise on Miss Anderson's face when it was announced that she was the winner? No.
It sounds as if this young lady deserved the title of Choctaw Indian Princess. However, a great majority of people know there were alot of schemes and manipulation by certain members of the Pageant Committee. Was it given to her because she believed that she deserved it? Alot of people feel the Pageant was fixed. This young lady herself fixed the Homecoming Queen ballots to announce herself as the 2007 Homecoming Queen. So, would you say this young lady is deserving of this title?
CONGRATULATIONS TIA FAYE!!!! We are so proud of you and you really deserve this. Have an outstanding year being a princess for our tribe.
Miss Anderson is a beautiful young lady. I'm sure the entire Choctaw Tribe is very proud.
