Officials say a mobilization ceremony originally planned for Friday in Meridian was canceled.
About 70 soldiers with the 1181st Army Transportation Battalion joined the dozens of Mississippi National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve units that have been activated as part of a partial mobilization authorized by the president.
