Two arrests have been made in a string of break-ins at Oakland Heights Elementary School.

Meridian Police arrested Paul Dean and Ricky Herrington and have charged each with two counts of burglary.

The school was broken into twice in June, and several pieces of computer equipment were taken.

The two were arrested after a police officer made a traffic stop.

"Due to his alertness, he noticed that a wire, a cord was hanging out of one of the doors," said Lt. Lee Currie. "He notified the detectives and an investigation yielded two arrests and we solved two burglaries because of it."

Each count of burglary carries a penalty of up to seven years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
