Benefit Fund Established

A silent auction at Rush Hospital Thursday will benefit the newly formed Rush Health Systems Employee Benevolent Fund.

The fund was established to provide financial assistance to employees and their families in times of hardship.

"We're hoping to raise some money so our benevolent fund will have more funds for future needs," said Donnie Smith of Rush Human resources. "Our employees, all employees in any company experience needs in times of financial hardship and we want to be able to respond to those needs."

Rush employees and local businesses donated over 175 items.
