A committee has been selected to choose the fate of one of Meridian's most historic buildings. That group is considering proposals for the Threefoot Building in downtown.
Meridian community development director, John McClure, says there are six people on that committee; he goes on to say that all come from different backgrounds.
According to McClure, the group has already held its first meeting, and will likely meet again later this week.
Specific information is not being released at this time about the proposals that are being considered. However, in the past there have been discussions about converting the vacant building into a hotel or combination of residential and commercial space.
