DHS says fraud involving SNAP and TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) is usually due to clients withholding income or household information that could make them ineligible for benefits.
DHS says almost 30% of Lauderdale County residents were enrolled in SNAP in 20-13 and more than $28 million in benefits were issued.
