Though I was young when this man murdered his ex-wife in cold blood, as a family member of a murdered victim I am outraged, it also makes me wonder who else is in the Governor's mansion when our children are sent to tour the facility. Just a word of thought.
Gov Barbour, you can free a killer, but can you give his victim her life back? I doubt you would be so forgiving, if the victim was a member of your family.
I support his decision.
THIS IS A VERY UPSETTING STORY. I LIVED IN PASCAGOULA WHEN THIS HAPPENDED. WHY DID THE GOVERNOR DO THIS. IT IS AN INJUSTICE TO OUR COMMUNITY AND THE FAMILY OF ADRIAN. SOME ONE SHOLD LOOK INTO THIS AND CHECK OUT THE SYSTEM AND WHY SOMETHING LIKE THIS COUNLD HAPPEN.
There he goes again, doing what is right for Mississippians. He is still working for big business and now is releasing convicted murderers. Would he have set him free if it were Barbours sister or mother that was murdered? No convicted murderer should be released without concrete evidence. When are we going to wake up and see that our governor is not representing us and should be voted out of politics. Mississippi is just a stepping stone he is using to get to Washington. Watch and see what office he seeks next. I hope he will not be elected to any other jobs/positions where he is to represent Mississippi. We all need to remember the things Barbour has done to Mississippi. We need someone that will help us,not big business or special friends.
It is strange and highly suspicious that Trent lott is from the same town as this killer. Is it a ''good ole boy'' situation?
how much cash changed hands on this one
Where are the domestic violence people on this one? I think murdering your ex-wife is domestic violence. What is the governator thinking? This is totally unacceptable.
I assume that Graham didn't deny that he was the one that killed her. Now he is free?
I am glad that Gov. Barbour has found the crystal ball that will ensure that Michael Gramham will not kill someone again. How many time has Supervision and Probation failed in the past? While I have no problem with an individual that has been convicted being released as a result of DNA testing. I believe that if you do the crime than you deserve to do the time!
A convicted killer should never be released under any circumstances but then again, I didn't vote for Haley Barbour!!!!!
My brother was brutally murdered in his home in Lauderdale county. By plea bargain, both boys were sent to jail for life...no possibility of parole. That was in 2004. If either of them is EVER paroled, my family would be very upset...Murder is murder and should be punished - to the full extent of the law. Releasing a convicted murderer negates the life and death of the victim. My brother's life was worth both of theirs. Graham's wife's life was worth at least all of his.
Maybe Barbour got too close to this guy while he "hung out" out the Governor's Mansion. It is INSANE to release a man that killed his ex-wife in cold-blooded murder. Does MS not have some "catch" to keep such as this from happening? Look at our state: Our Gov. CANNOT solve the Medicaid Budget problem but he CAN release a maniacal murderer back into our society? Just how out of touch is Gov. Barbour?
Barber needs to explain to the family of the victim and to the people of Miss. why he released this man. Just because he is Governor does not make him above the law. I am sorry I voted for him!
what an absolute outrage! i'm speechless!!
